We met with this customer in early April and went over her vision of making her backyard outdoor living area more functional and usable—all on one level.

We removed the old concrete patio and built her a new Deckorators deck with skirting and Trex Transcend railings. We also added new landscaping and hydroseeded the areas damaged during construction.

I personally watched the sunset several nights while working late, trying to get everything ready for her party. Even though we didn’t have the entire project completed, we had the deck functional and all her furniture set up in time. She was very happy with the finished result, and that is what matters.

My parents’ patio that I built over 10 years ago popped up in my newsfeed. Crazy how time flies.

I still remember my father asking why they needed a fire pit so close to the deck when he already had a burn area 100 feet away. I told him, “Dad, your friends are old—it needs to be closer.” 😂

The patio is still there, but unfortunately, he isn’t. He had fun helping out a little, and he sure enjoyed being on that tractor.

Built this little pool deck 5 years ago . I remember how happy the customer was . It isn't always the size that matters , sometimes it is how it is used !
