💥Retaining Wall Project #4 💥 Over the past week, I took on a property that needed additional Driveway space. We decided to remove a Side Yard that consisted of a prior Farmers Wall, and a sloped grade from a higher elevation.
In order to construct the correct foundation, for our now new Retaining Wall…. Demolition of the existing formation with removal of the boulders was necessary.
- Earth was then Excavated, cutting into the existing slopped grade.
- Geo Fabric was then installed followed by 4” SDR PVC Solid Pipe Tying in Two Leader Drains, 3/4” Gravel bellow, and behind for Drainage purposes.
- Boulders were then placed, and contoured to a more “Flat” looking Farmers Wall.
- Reusable material (Soil + Stone) was then removed, and staged.
The rear of the Retaining Wall was then backfilled with 3/4” Gravel, and Screened Soil, which was then Compacted every 2’-0”.
