Traffic is moving again on Meadows Road Bridge! 🚦

After being closed due to structural deterioration of the historic 1858 stone span, the Meadows Road Bridge has been fully rebuilt and is once again open west of Route 412 near Hellertown Borough. Kinsley Construction served as general contractor, replacing the aging structure with a modern 100-foot, two-span box beam bridge.

Most people recognize Kinsley Materials for our mixer trucks, but producing concrete is just one part of what we do.

At our PenRoc Quarry in York, PA, we also produce high-quality ground calcium carbonate (GCC), a filler material used in everything from flooring products and adhesives to paints, rubber, craft supplies and more. Operating 24/5 and producing nearly 100,000 tons annually, our filler plant plays a key role in supporting industries across the Mid-Atlantic region.

With support from Kinsley Construction and growing demand for sub-10-micron filler, we’re actively expanding our plant to increase capacity and improve efficiency.

Lex Heilman has always had a natural talent for problem-solving and hands-on work—skills that laid the foundation for a career in safety. Growing up, he worked alongside his father, helping family members and neighbors repair everything from vehicles to household appliances, which sparked his appreciation for construction.

Lex was introduced to Kinsley Construction through the YMCA of the Roses - York County Youth Build Program and began his career as a laborer, gaining experience in everything from site clearing to finish carpentry. After years in the field, he transitioned into our Safety Department, beginning his safety career on the York County Judicial Center project in York, PA. Over the past 30 years, Lex has grown with the company and now plays a vital role in ensuring safety remains a top priority across all projects.

Outside of work, Lex enjoys fishing and spending time with his family—especially playing video games with his grandson.

“Kinsley Construction has given me the opportunity to grow and succeed in an ever-changing construction field. I enjoy the people I’ve met, the places I’ve been and the many experiences still ahead."

We kicked off the summer with York County Libraries at the Martin Library Block Party! This year’s SummerQuest reading program theme, “Unearth a Story,” celebrates discovery through reading and the idea that every community has stories waiting to be uncovered. ☀️📚

Special thanks to Site foreman Matt Aldinger for representing Kinsley Construction at the event and giving kids from across York County the chance to get up close with one of our backhoes. It’s always great when we can bring equipment out, connect with families and share what we do in a hands-on way. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Excited to see everyone at Martin Library Block Party on Sunday! ☀️
