Location: South Berwick, Maine

Roll Excavation is looking for responsible and reliable Commercial Drivers with a valid Class A or B CDL to join our growing team. We have full-time and part-time positions available on both day and night shifts.

Position Requirements:
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Experience required in:
• Paving operations
• Milling work
• Hauling aggregate and other construction materials
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Full home demolition and debris removal. 900 yards of ledge hammered, removed and trucked. Full basement excavation and foundation drains installed. Backfilled and graded. Corners of the new home to be constructed are right at the setbacks so the entire lot was a doozy for material management. Looking forward to come back to put in the septic tank and leech field as well as tie in town water and the rest of the utilities.

This is a 12’x24’ Monolithic slab we constructed. A lot of times you’ll here these foundations referred to as a “floating slab”- a term coined out here in New England due to the amount of frost this area routinely deals with every winter. These foundations have shorter footings that are no where near the frost line. This means the slab will “float” as the frost heaves up and melts down according to the outside temperature. These foundations are great for permanent structures that won’t receive year round heating.

Additionally, for those finically curious, this project paid for itself with equity gained on the property as soon as the structure was delivered and set (not shown in picture). The home was appraised before and after the project due to the clients possible desire to sell. Honestly, almost half of my projects I do residential, especially landscape construction, skyrocket the value of homes. Not only in the terms of equity but also in the intangible value of a visual aesthetic it all creates- making it more enticing for possible buyers when they see it at face value.

With that said, we feel confident that we can go the extra mile in this industry and make exceptional residential construction projects come to life for working class folks.

300 tons of 3/4” gravel graded and rolled for a parking area. Mallards and concrete parking stops for code. A couple restructured rock retaining walls. Brush removed and 100 yards of loam trucked in and spread thin over the turned-over loam fill underneath. Propane tank installed and gas line trench, tied, and backfilled.
