1. Access: Can equipment and materials actually get where they need to go?

2. Grading: Is the property properly shaped for the structure and surrounding areas?

3. Drainage: Where will rainwater go once you change the site?

4. Utilities: Water, electric, septic, sewer and other services may all factor into the plan.

5. Setbacks & Regulations: Your building location may be affected by property lines, zoning and local requirements.
