The old YMCA is officially getting a new chapter.

We wrapped up asbestos abatement at the former Gastonia YMCA and went straight into building demo. No time to sit around—we’ve got a site to clear. 👊

This one is making way for Franklin Yards, a future multifamily development.

Grateful to Partners for bringing us along for the transformation.

New project. New transformation. One less elevator.

This week, Custom Demo & Dismantling got started at Dilworth Artesian Station on a multi-building renovation project.

Our scope includes selective interior demolition and removal of the existing elevator.

The elevator probably thinks it’s going up, but we have other plans. 😂

Stay tuned—there’s a lot more disappearing before this transformation is complete.

Today we’re celebrating Matt Coyle!

When he’s not getting the job done with the Custom Demo crew, you can probably find Matt on the golf course working on his swing—or counting down the days until he says “I do.”

That’s right… Matt is officially 3 months away from the big day! We’re guessing he’s getting pretty good at taking direction by now.

Help us wish Matt a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY and an exciting year ahead!

Demo? Sure. But why stop there? 😎

This restaurant conversion started with a full gut but turned into a whole lot more.

Custom Demo is handling the demolition, concrete cutting and pour-back, needle shoring, masonry openings, concrete foundations & flatwork, steel, and masonry work.

All part of transforming this former Hooters-turned-Mexican-restaurant into a brand-new First Watch.

We came for the demo.
We stayed for the build-back.

Stay tuned. This one’s going to look a lot different when we’re done!

Every great team needs someone who can adapt, solve problems, and figure out who did it before the opening credits roll… and that’s Brandi.

A lifelong learner, Brandi has a talent for making every team, project, and place better than she found it. Her curiosity, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in make her a valuable part of the Custom Demo & Dismantling team.

When she’s not making things happen at work, you’ll probably find her:

🔎 Solving true crime cases from the couch (thanks to Dateline—she’s basically an unpaid detective)
🌶️ Going all-in on jalapeños—the greener, the meaner
🏃 Putting miles on the treadmill (because her husband needs every advantage he can get)
🏖️ Enjoying a beach, park, or waterfront view
💃 Stealing the show at live concerts
❤️ Spending time with her kids and grandkids

7 Brew is popping up all over the Carolinas… and our crew has been making sure there’s room for all that coffee!

The assignment: clear the path.
The solution: send in the Custom Demo team.
The result: buildings gone, sites ready, coffee dreams loading!

We recently tackled projects in Gaffney, Clemson, and Greenville, SC, along with Clemmons, NC.

Some people make coffee disappear. Some make buildings disappear…we do both!
