WUCG had the honor and privilege of participating in the Bill Douglas Memorial Golf Tournement last week in support of Bill's family. Bill Douglas was a leader and friend to many and we are grateful for the opportunity to support our community in memory of him.

This was a great project that we got to partner with the Port of Columbia County on out in Scappoose, and we are looking forward to the next one here soon!

✈️ THE RUNWAY IS OPEN! ✈️

After months of planning, construction, coordination and a whole lot of patience, Runway 15/33 at Scappoose Airport has officially reopened to fixed-wing aircraft!

We couldn't be more excited to welcome our airport community back to the runway. 🎉

A HUGE thank you to our tenants, businesses, pilots, staff, neighbors and community members for your patience and flexibility throughout the project.

We also want to recognize Century West Engineering and Western United Civil Group for their professionalism, communication and coordination throughout the project. Their work helped make this major infrastructure project a success.

This was a significant federally and state-funded investment in Scappoose Airport and our community, helping preserve and improve critical airport infrastructure for years to come.

And we're not quite done yet!

The East Side Pavement Maintenance Project is scheduled to begin the week of September 8. The good news? This project will NOT close the runway. More information will be shared with airport users soon.

But first, we're ready to celebrate! 🎉

📅 SAVE THE DATE
September 27 | 12:00–3:00 p.m.

Join us for our Grand Reopening Celebration as we celebrate the completion of the runway project and this important investment in our airport and community.

More details coming soon!

But today?

We're celebrating. The runway is OPEN! ✈️

Thank you, Scappoose, for helping us get to the finish line!

We are excited to be back out in Ridgefield, working on this project to benefit their community! Be sure to check back to see updates, as well as the finish product!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: Boyse Park Pump Track

Construction is underway to install a pump track and parking lot at Boyse Park, the first phase of development for this 9-acre neighborhood park.

A pump track is a course that you ride on a bicycle without pedaling. Riders use the weight of their body to pump the bike on the slopes and maintain speed. The Boyse Park Pump Track has been designed for bicycle riders of all skill levels and includes berms, rollers and turns.

Construction will be complete in October; we can't wait for you to check it out!
