Using the inappropriate fittings will give you headaches. The end of the metal conduit wasn't prepped properly and the wrong fitting was used. The vibration from the pool pump caused the wires to wear through and dead short. We installed the proper fittings and were able to save the customer money by NOT replacing a 140 foot run of conduit and wire.
