In 2015 I founded Home Remaker, LLC, to help New Jersey families renovate and remake their homes. Over the last 8 years I have been renovating our 273 year old home in Northern Jersey and our beach cottage down the Jersey shore. In that time I have worked with many great sub-contractors, but some who tried to take advantage of me as a woman. Every family deserves a reputable and trustworthy contractor and someone who will care for your home as much as you do.

It's the season for fixing window dry rot. Getting prepped for winter should be on everyone's agenda to prevent issues during the dead of winter. Happy to help remake your space... to good as new.

The unexpected evolution of my day... tomorrow to wrap it up with shingles, calking, paint and trim.

It's what happens when flashing is done improperly. It channels the water to sit along the sil plate and bottom of plywood slowly rotting it away. It's always fun to find what previous owners did improperly.

Good thing is now it's fixed, corrected and won't be a problem in the future.

Just a reminder to let me remake your home when you first notice an issue... don't let it grow.

A little home remake for a client to refresh a space. New paint color Benjamin Moore "linen white" and semi gloss white chair rail.

This is a great neutral color scheme. Has a warm yellow/cream feel to it. Highly recommend the color.

Also... pro tip for you... when painting... email yourself a picture of the paint tag. Subject line "basement paint color". You can search emails years down the road and find your exact formula. :)
