Behind the Scenes with Our Students ❄️

Winter may bring chilly days, but our students are keeping things warm and productive in the greenhouse! This week, they’re learning about soil health and prepping garden beds for spring planting. These essential tasks help ensure we’re ready to hit the ground running as soon as the weather warms up!

From mixing compost from the alpacas and bunnies for the garden, to planting seeds, our students are gaining hands-on experience that will set the stage for a successful growing season. Their hard work now will bloom into beautiful produce come spring!

🌱 Greenhouse Tip: Winter is the perfect time to refresh your soil. Adding compost or organic matter helps boost nutrients and prepare garden beds for healthy, thriving plants in the spring. “Pelleted poopers” such as our bunnies and alpaca are the perfect candidates because their manure can be placed directly into beds! 💩
