A commercial roof has to deal with a lot over the life of a building, especially in our area where temperatures can change significantly throughout the year. Metal naturally expands and contracts as temperatures change, so the roof system has to be designed to move with it while continuing to keep water out.

The Butler Manufacturing MR-24® Roof System uses concealed fasteners and a mechanically seamed design, along with clips that allow the roof to move as temperatures change. Those details help protect the building from leaks and reduce maintenance over the life of the roof.

Warehouse and distribution facilities are often grouped into the same category, but each one requires a different design based on the products, equipment, and people moving through the building.

Our early conversations around a new facility include a lot of questions.
What is being stored in the building?
How high will it be racked?
How quickly does product move from receiving to shipping?
Does specialized equipment need to be incorporated?
How many trucks need access to the building each day?
Who is working in the building, and what do they need from the space?

Those answers influence everything from clear height and column spacing to dock locations, floor requirements, truck circulation, and options for future expansion.
