Design Tip from RHS Garden Harlow Carr: Grow a privacy screen, living fence or arbor using willow!

Willow cuttings have been stuck into moist soil where they quickly rooted. As they grew, the stems were woven together to form a fence-like structure which in turn could support sweet peas.
When cuttings were grown on both sides of the path, the uppermost branches were able to be woven to create a tunnel / arbor!
