I finished building this one a couple days ago but I’ve had tornado watch. That’s what I call Grampas daycare. That’s pretty witty, right?🤣.
Blanket box/foot locker #3 is complete. This is part of a multi-order and spoken for but I can make more…
The box is made from reclaimed wood. Specifically, it used to be a few pallets. I disassemble them, sand the the wood, measure, measure, cut and then reassemble them into this. Every board is screwed and glued from the inside so no fasteners are visible from the outside. This one is approx. 37”Wx18”Hx18”D. Woodburning and poly for the finish.
All orders custom made for size and color. Price varies according to size.

The smaller box is my usual, a box(footlocker)
The second box has a removable tray for “organizing” stuff. I’m not real good at “organizing stuff”. This customer asked if I could make a removable tray so that’s what I did. I really like it. The tray sits on wooden rails attached to the interior of the box so it’s definitely sturdy.
Both of these are spoken for but I’ll gladly make more if you’d like to make a purchase. 😊
Both boxes are made from reclaimed wood. Sanded, wood burn, and poly for their finish. Every horizontal plank is “screwed and glued to the vertical corner braces. The lid is “screwed and glued” from underneath to each plank as well. There are no screws visible from the outside. These boxes are very sturdy and the wood has a lot of character that “pops” in person. It just doesn’t represent that well on pictures.
Custom orders-size, color, tray, 1/2 tray, no tray. Name it. I’ll see if I can make it happen.

These are both “floating frames”.
The lighter color frame is 16”x24”. It’s 7/8” thick. It’s finished with woodburning and poly for appearance and protection. It’s top grade Douglas fir from Badger Logging in Lake George, CO
The darker frame is 12x16. The support frame is “built up” to support a 1/4” art piece. It’s reclaimed ponderosa pine. It was barn siding in its previous life. As you can see, it has a lot of character from the aging process. Also finished with woodburning/poly for appearance and protection
These two are sold…but I can always make more. 😊

If you like “bird song” outside your window, Havels Wood Shop can make it happen with our custom made birdhouses.
This is a wren. I think it’s a Northern Wren, given our geographic location.
This momma here, has come back 3 yrs in a row…or maybe it’s another. I dunno. I’m not a bird expert.
She does like the accommodations though….

I got the plaque off Amazon and built a frame for it. Another kind of “custom thing” that’s available at Havels Wood Shop. The frame is made out of Douglas fir, from Badger Custom Sawmill and Kiln. This one is sold. But I can make more.

Ok, I survived the show. Man, that was nerve-wracking. Anyway…back to work. Here’s some things I’ve made lately. Picture frames, and a couple different styles of wine racks. These are for sale and I can make more. 😊
