A most recent review from one of our value customer.
Walker Roofing replaced the roof on our house and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. I am a VERY PICKY customer in most everything--and especially with our roof, based on our last bad experience. With degrees in Carpentry and Architecture, I focus on the details and know how important they are. I worked with Ian Goriesky, our project manager, very closely through seemingly endless emails to hammer out the details of the roof replacement. He patiently addressed every question and concern I had, we got them all in writing, and our replacement went exceptionally well, even better than I'd hoped.
In Minneapolis, an ordinance requires installation of a completely new roof deck if there is more than 1/4" of space between the roof boards (additional cost: ~$5000). After seeing the large number of gaps and broken roof boards visible in our attic, I was certain that we were going to need a new deck. But Ian figured out a way to solve the problem by selectively replacing the problematic roof boards, with a net savings of over $4000.
Because of the huge number of plants in our front and back yards, his crew took extraordinary care when tossing the shingles off the roof and, to my amazement, there was no damage to any of our plants.
Throughout the process of preparation, ex*****on, and follow-up, Ian has been accessible, transparent, accommodating, and cooperative. His bid for our roof was in the middle of the range of bids I received and I'm so glad we didn't go with the lowest bid!
I would recommend Walker Roofing, and Ian Goriesky in particular, to anyone.
It must be acknowledged that the real proof of a great installation is how long the roof lasts without causing you trouble. And one can't know that without waiting for 25 years. But, if one hires a roofing contractor that's been satisfying customers for decades, there's a very good chance that your roof won't cause you trouble in the long run. Time will tell, and I'm betting on Walker Roofing
