🥵Working in extreme heat can quickly become dangerous, especially in attics, trenches, and outdoors. 🥵

Practices that help protect our crews while maintaining productivity during the hottest months include:

* Starting earlier when possible.
We schedule the most physically demanding work in the morning and save lighter tasks for the hottest part of the day.

* Hydrating
Drinking water throughout the day, and when sweating heavily, alternate with an electrolyte drink to replace sodium and other minerals.

* Wear lightweight, light-colored, moisture-wicking clothing.
A wide-brim hat and UV-protective sunglasses also help when working outdoors.

* Use cooling gear.
Cooling towels, neck wraps, or cooling vests can make a noticeable difference.

* Rotate workers in and out of hot spaces like attics and trenches.

* Watch for signs of heat exhaustion in one another.
