After helping everyone else in our group get their tags filled, I was finally up to bat in Wyoming….and it didn’t last but about 30 minutes before and I located this goat on some tucked away state land. After getting ahead of him so he couldn’t beat us to the private, at 310 yards the gig was up, and I squeezed off the shot from the 6.5 PRC and watched him go 10 yards before toppling over!! Couldn’t be happier and we went 4/4 on our first ever western hunt….but even more important is the memories we made. Absolutely cannot wait to get back out west again!!•

My ol’ man connected with a good one today! After making a stalk on another group, only to get blown by another hunter. Decided that we should check the property a little better after the other truck left and got to 152 yards of this guy where my dad dropped him in his tracks. Fun hunt with a lot of memories and a great goat to boot!!•

Preparation comes in all shapes and sizes during the summer months but who knows why I’d be loading 16 rounds at different powder charges for the 6.5 PRC?•

Nothing more frustrating than trapping in the snow with a hard crust, then thaw out and refreeze....makes it extremely hard on trappers to keep gear up and running....and even then, you still have to get them to step in on the pan 🙃 frustrating and humbling•

Had a successful date night out with and the new Thor 4. Went 3 for 4 in sets and 3 for 4 on yotes called in. The 4th made it out through the tall grass before I could get a round off. I think I’m going to like this thermal thing 😁•

Got my otter back from ...Matt absolutely killed it with this one. This was my first otter I ever caught, and still stands to be my largest at 48 1/2”. For those that think otters are cute and cuddly, do some research on them and realize they are one of the most deadly and efficient water predators out there. They kill for sport/fun and will leave the fish to rot on the banks...they will clean out a stocked pond in a couple of weeks before moving down the road to the next one....•

Ain’t this the truth....I may be low on TP, but I’ve got 3 freezers full of protein to survive and trade if need be. We wouldn’t ever get to that point if people would just calm down and quit buying all the TP for a respiratory illness that has likely been here all flu season, we just weren’t testing for it until now....•

How many different coyotes can you spot in this picture?? 🤬 Looks like my untimely hand surgery last year during trapping season allowed our coyote population to make a comeback to numbers I’d rather not see 👎🏻. Time to hit them hard and early this year.•
