A small but lively homestead where chickens, ducks, pigs, so much more and a whole lot of love roam free. 🌿🥚 We’re growing gardens, raising animals, and building a backyard farm life one day at a time.

Farming requires lots of improvisation. When integrating baby ducks with established ducks, we use hog panels. Great in theory… until the big ducks realize they can squeeze past it 🤦🏽‍♀️

Most meat rabbits spend their lives in cages and while cages can be safe and functional, we wanted to offer ours more than just the basics. 🐇🌿

We built an enrichment area where they can stretch their legs and simply be rabbits. Raising animals for meat doesn’t mean their quality of life matters any less. If anything, we believe it makes us even more responsible for giving them a good life while they’re here. 🤍

SUPRISE!!!! Here we were… thinking Oslo never accomplished the deed successfully… well… SURPRISE! Mama gave birth to 9 babies in which only 2 survived. Let’s pray these 2 continue strong ♥️ Congrats Dubai

Farmer Kat has a deep love for butterflies. 🦋

Our property has a RIDICULOUS amount of milkweed, and lately I kept finding this weird fluffy stuff floating around the pool. Turns out… our milkweed is producing seeds and sending them everywhere. 😂

And I absolutely love it.

I love watching the butterflies cover the property, finding tiny caterpillars munching away, and stumbling across chrysalises tucked into the most random places. If you’ve never seen one up close, they genuinely look like tiny little jewels. 💚

So I guess if the price of having our own little butterfly sanctuary is constantly scooping milkweed fluff out of the pool… I’ll take it. 🦋🌱

I feel like our farm page has become a lot about our experiences with the farm, but mostly it’s been a capturing of my amazing husband’s love and growth in it.

The other day Daniel was thinking about how, if you had asked him at any other point in his life where he thought he’d be today, he would have NEVER pictured this.

A city boy from Stockholm, Sweden, who somehow became so native to this land. The animals, the projects, the work, the responsibility, the passion, he’s taken to all of it in a way I don’t think either of us could have predicted.

I think one of my favorite parts of this farm has simply been watching him become a country boy and doing so, authenticly to himself. 🤎

The ducklings are officially free roaming 🦆🤍 All the hand feeding and time spent with them has made SUCH a difference. Instead of running away like our older ducks, these guys run straight to us 😂 They’re so much friendlier, more confident, and officially starting to explore every corner of the farm.
