What a big job! Pondless waterfall, garden re-work, pathways, and an awesome patio! This garden is a memorial garden for the clients late brother. They wanted to have moving water and a place to sit that fit more than 2 chairs to enjoy with friends and family. Old sitting area goes from “eh” to memories of playing in the creek as a kid. They are from the upper New York area, so some addition of rounded glacier stones to the waterfall were added to manipulate the sound of the water by moving them around. Interactive waterfall! Stepping stone paths were added from driveway to new patio along with pathways added through the reduced garden area. One of our favorite( and clients) was adding in the Mexican beach pebbles to the patio to create an abstract flowing mosaic between the larger patio stones. The flow of the pathways, patio and water feature brings everything together as one cohesive outdoor space that they can’t get enough of. When it’s not 100 degrees with high humidity of course! What a transformation! Really happy how this came out. Long story short, neighbor had some mental health issues and came over and started destroying the clients backyard! The pond was one of those things that were attacked. Damage to intake and liner , etc. I came to take a look and we came up with a plan! Old pond was deconstructed and 16 fish , 3 salamanders, and one frog relocated to my holding tank for 4 days. With heat indexes over 100 and high humidity, I enlisted Gage and Austin to help this old man put it back together. After 4 days, the fish were put back in their luxury new home. Lilies were downsized and replanted and sheet moss sourced from another client helped add some age and beauty to the waterfall. Looking forward to the water clearing up so I can showcase the rock work underwater. That is just as important as the rock work above water! Fish are thrilled, clients are ecstatic, and so am I with how it turned out!
