Join us Thursday October 8th at the Concordia Parish Library in Vidalia for a program on Fall Gardens: A guide to growing cool season vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

We will also review best management practices for dividing perennials in the fall, common garden pests & weeds, fall harvested crops, and crop rotation.

DEADLINE to register for the upcoming Master Gardener Class in Winnsboro is this FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4!!

The Macon Ridge Master Gardeners hosted an Orientation Class today to allow local residents to learn about the program and sign up for the upcoming class. Active volunteers provided refreshments, answered questions and shared their experiences going through the class and becoming Master Gardener volunteers. If you are interested in registering for the class, there is still time! The deadline is this Friday September 4th by noon. Please contact Marcie Wilson at 318-766-3769 or [email protected] to submit your application. The $175 Class fee is due upon application. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about gardening and giving back to your community!! Becoming a Master Gardener volunteer is educational and rewarding. Join today!
