Our design approach is one that respects the context, and provides a solution that synthesizes the site influences with the client’s goals. Our work does not adhere to a specific style, yet there is a distinctive aesthetic that is consistent in our solutions. We refine each solution until it has clarity to rely on fundamental design principles of proportion, light, balance and materiality.

A little walk through Shoreline Reflections. I wanted to share how these rooms connect, especially the dining room—a room of its own, with a generous table for big family gatherings, that still feels intimate and connected to the great room.

I love how everyone can gather around the table and feel tucked into this space, while still being part of everything around them and a view of the lake.

The buffet backdrop is a fabulous stone from .stone. We found this stone before the design was even complete and decided to make it part of the "art" in the home.

As summer gives way to fall, there’s a quiet shift along Lake Michigan. The outdoor spaces that held family and friends all summer become still, and the warmth moves inside.

I love seeing Shoreline Reflections this way—the landscape settling into darkness while the home begins to glow from within. A different season, and a different way of experiencing the same place.

We are so honored to have been selected to participate in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York. Today, it officially opens!

Our room, “Kasumi,” is a modern expression of our architectural language, softened through light, texture, and material. With no exterior views to draw from, we looked to nature and imagined a dreamlike solution. Behind the vanity, cherry blossom branches create gentle movement and shadow, beginning a language of layering that continues throughout the room.

The custom vanity slips behind a luminous layer of textured cast glass—more to come on this design.

We are incredibly grateful to the extraordinary collaborators and craftspeople who helped bring Kasumi to life. We are so excited to finally share it with you, but our real hope is that you will have the opportunity to experience it in person! Kips Bay Decorator Show House

Savoring these last days of summer. On Lake Michigan, summer has a way of becoming the gathering place for family and friends—the long days, the water, and the ease of being outdoors together.

For Shoreline Reflections, we wanted the architecture to embrace that way of living. The home stretches along the lakefront, with outdoor spaces sculpted as carefully as the rooms within—each creating a different way to experience this very special place.
