Just a friendly reminder as we go into this cold snap. Do not be frugal on your heat. We recommend keeping it at 65-68°. Also leave the kitchen sink cabinets open especially if the kitchen sink sits on an exterior wall. We advise you to do this for any sort of sink that is on an exterior wall.

If you have a history of freezing up, put your faucet on a dribble (both hot & cold) … unless you have a StreamLabs or MoenFlo type emergency shutoff control valve.

And always know where your main water meter shutoff valve is located in case of an emergency. Usually in your basement at the front of the house (in case a pipe bursts).
