Rolling out our spring line up! It's the same as usual, but with warmer weather everyone is ready to fix the driveway, set up pools and clean things up. So here is some spring info...

First, let's talk TOP SOIL. We have a fine grain soil. Some of you love it, some of you hate it. We ask that you go see it because it's a lot to deliver if you don't want it. It's not the dark soil you can buy in bags. I've heard it hardens in garden beds unless mixed with other material. If unsure, go see it. The Rock Pit is located on Commander and open Monday-Friday from 7:00-4:00.

3/4 AC is your DRIVEWAY gravel. That's just the rock, no fines.

Crushed vs River Rock
Crushed is more jagged, River is rounded. 3/4", 1/2" and 3/8". The smaller it gets, the more expensive it is and also the easier it disappears. Crushed and Round are the same price. Most people prefer the Crushed in the driveway, and the River for more decorative or in pet areas.

The warmer it gets, the busier we are. Sometimes we can get you on the schedule the same day, other times it could be a week or more out. If you are planning equipment, please call as far ahead as possible.

Your husband wants dirt and rock. He's gonna make you call anyway. We have trucks this week to deliver!

A few helpful facts:
3/4" AC is the most common driveway gravel.
Reject Base is great for covering bug dust
Type 2 is better, but also to state specs for cementing on.
Each truck is about 12 Ton or 8 yards. How much do you need? Here's how to figure that out.

Length(feet) x width (feet) x depth (inches)
Divide by 27 and you get how many yards you'll need.
Example
10 x 50 x .25 (3 inches) = 125
125/27 = 4.6 yds

1 bx of 3/4 delivered in town is right around $160, and you can pay the driver when he delivers, cash or check.
