🔥 Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant 🔥

Have you noticed the white circles on this map? 👀
Those areas have already been touched by the Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant — a vital program helping protect Humboldt County communities from wildfire threats.

This initiative supports wildfire prevention efforts like brush clearing and defensible space creation, especially for those who need it most.

🌟 Did you know?
This service is specifically available to seniors aged 65 and older who cannot clear their property and don’t have a family member, friend, or neighbor to help. It’s about protecting the most vulnerable and reducing fire risk — one home at a time.

If that sounds like you or someone you know, this program could make a real difference.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of Northern and Central Nevada from 11 AM PDT Monday morning until 10 PM PDT Monday evening!

The combination of critically dry fuels, very low relative humidity values, and strong, gusty southwest winds can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
