WHERE ARE WE?📍
Location Highlight: Titan Machinery – Winger, MN
Small-town feel with big-time knowledge—that’s Titan Machinery Winger. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re met with decades of experience and friendly faces ready to help.
This location’s story runs deep, dating back to 1904 when it began as a hardware store owned by A.K. Ingebo. It was later sold to farmer Halvor Aasen, who ran the business until 1914, when Albert Espeseth became involved. By 1928, Espeseth fully owned the operation, and over time, his sons Orville, Arnold, and Kenneth carried the business forward as Espeseth Hardware Company.
Growth continued in 1948 with a major addition for machinery display and repair. The business expanded again by establishing a machinery lot along Highway 59 after acquiring the Borud Farm, complete with a large shop and warehouse to better serve the region.
In 1982, Arnold Espeseth became sole owner and ran the company until his retirement in 1989. That same year brought a major challenge when the downtown store was lost to fire. In response, Arnold made a lasting impact by building a new modern facility along Highway 59 before retiring.
Later in 1989, Arnold’s son Tony and Walter Pederson founded Winger Implement Co., operating out of several downtown locations before moving into a new facility in April 1990. Tony became sole owner in 1999, continuing to grow the business until Titan Machinery acquired Winger Implement in 2009.
Since joining Titan, the location has continued to evolve to meet today’s equipment demands, including a major shop addition in 2021 to support larger and more advanced machinery.
Today, Winger is known as a trusted hay and forage hub, supported by a dedicated team of 14 full-time employees, shared staff, and student technicians—bringing both expertise and care to every customer interaction.
And just as important as the work is the community. From donating chairs for 4-H youth at local county fairs to supporting the Polk, Clearwater, and Mahnomen County Fairs and contributing to after-prom events, this team continues to invest in the next generation.
We’re proud to spotlight Titan Machinery Winger—where more than a century of history, resilience, and community commitment continues to move forward every day.
