Most of what decides whether a rebuild lasts happens before anything is visible.

Flashing at the door. Every seam sealed while the wall is still open. Joists protected before the first board goes down. Once it's closed in, nobody sees any of it again — including us.

That's the standard on every part of a rebuild, not just the parts you can point at.

Fully insured. One-year workmanship warranty.

A customer saying they plan to hire you again tells you a lot about their experience.

Here is Myah Meggison’s full Google review:

“I had a water damage from an overflowing toilet on the second floor that caused damage to our kitchen below. Octagons team came in and helped us navigate the insurance system. They were able to quickly get my house back together. Kyle was very attentive and made the process very smooth. The crews that did the work were very polite and left a clean work environment. I was very impressed! I am going to hire them again in the spring to replace my deck!”

Thank you, Myah, for trusting the Octagon team with your home.

Who puts your house back together after the damage work is done?

That's the part many homeowners in Maine and New Hampshire are left figuring out once materials have been removed and rooms are no longer usable. The cleanup crews finish, but the home still isn't livable.

That's reconstruction — and it's the phase Octagon Construction & Energy focuses on. Floors, walls, finishes, fixtures: the work that actually puts a home back together.

This Conway, New Hampshire project shows what that looks like after a pipe burst left a finished basement torn apart.

If your home is still sitting unfinished after property damage, tell us what happened.

Wondering what happens after you make the call? Here's the full picture.

Every reconstruction starts with a proper assessment — looking past the surface to what's behind the walls and under the floor. From there, the scope is documented in detail, submitted to your insurance for approval, and only then scheduled and rebuilt.

Knowing the steps ahead of time takes the guesswork out of it. There are no surprises and no vague timelines — just a clear process handled by a fully insured team with over 20 years of combined experience, a one-year workmanship warranty, and around 300 completed projects behind us.

If you've been unsure what reconstruction actually involves, now you know.

You have about six weeks. Then the ground freezes.

In Maine and New Hampshire, the working window doesn't stay open long — inland, frost can arrive by late September. And reconstruction isn't a same-week job. The damage has to be assessed, the scope confirmed, insurance aligned, and the work scheduled. All of that takes time.

Every week it waits, the calendar tightens.

If something in your home has needed rebuilding since winter, August is the month to get it reviewed, scoped, and on the schedule — before colder weather narrows the window.

Have you been putting off a repair since last winter? Now's the time to get it moving.

Nobody hears it happen.

A water heater gave out overnight, and the finished basement below paid for it. Water soaked the carpet, spread behind the drywall, saturated the insulation.

Has your home been through a water loss this winter? Tell us what you found.

After mitigation cleared the space, we rebuilt it — drywall, paint, trim, and hardwood flooring throughout. Insurance involved start to finish.

Licensed and insured. Over 20 years of leadership experience.

Water’s gone. So why doesn’t your home feel the same?

Because water damage doesn’t end when the visible water disappears. Even after the surface dries, moisture can remain trapped inside subfloors, drywall, and insulation. It spreads behind the scenes, and when the signs return, the damage has often gotten worse.

A spongy floor. A stain that keeps coming back. A lingering musty odor. These aren’t cosmetic issues—they’re indicators of hidden moisture and structural damage.

We don’t just repair what’s visible—we restore what’s underneath, the right way, so the problem doesn’t return. Licensed, insured, and here to help with the insurance process from beginning to end.
