This antique home in Middle Haddam, CT never had Air conditioning and the new owners wanted it installed. The HVAC contractor wanted to run all the ducts across the floor in this attic space. I told them absolutely not. So they were hidden behind the new knee walls and under floor boards where they could be. Two antique trunks were installed to hide the vent drops and lined with cedar for storage. Just waiting on a good painter (Martin Zieser) to come and color match the panels.

A renovation we have been working on in Vermont . 1820's Federal home. The earlier back section was an old cape and built circa 1760. We did a complete roof over to allow for insulation and to keep the existing log rafters exposed.

Hand made crown molding. Under the old gutter of the house, the piece of molding was so bad, rotten and full of holes it need to be replaced. It measures 5 1/4 and lumber yards do not have anything close. hard to see in the picture, but it is a great match.

Did Custer shoot himself?
Sometimes you find pretty cool stuff working on old homes. This is a clipping from a news paper from about 1880, 4 years after the event. It was used a type of wall paper in a back room.
