UPDATE: Correct! The answer is fats, oils, and grease. The FOG gets introduced mainly from the kitchen sink. It can clog pipes, filters, and eventually make it to your drainfield. Ewww gross. PRO TIP: Do your septic system a favor and put your bacon grease in a can.

Question of the Week: FOG isn’t just something outside on a chilly morning… in the septic world, what does FOG stand for?

Hint—you don’t want too much of it in your septic system. 😅
