The finished shower may be what gets all the attention, but there’s a whole lot of plumbing hidden behind those beautiful walls.

This custom shower required multiple valves and carefully planned water lines — all installed during rough-in before the walls were ever closed.

Once the tile and trim go on, all that work disappears. But what's behind the wall is what makes the finished shower work.

This is a good example of what we sometimes find when working on older plumbing systems.

Yep — all of this pipe and all of these fittings are for one house!

Before the walls are closed up and the fixtures are installed, there’s a whole lot of planning, measuring, cutting, fitting and connecting that happens behind the scenes.

Before you hire a plumber in Kentucky, protect yourself by asking a few simple questions:

✅ What is your Kentucky Master or Journeyman Plumbing License Number?
✅ Are you fully insured? May I see proof of insurance?
✅ Who will actually be performing the plumbing work?

A licensed plumber should have no problem providing this information.

Hiring a properly licensed and insured plumber helps ensure the work is performed according to Kentucky plumbing laws and protects you if something goes wrong.

Don't assume that "licensed and insured" in an advertisement means the person doing the work is properly licensed. Always verify before hiring.

A few minutes of due diligence can save you thousands of dollars in repairs later.
