This shower valve was installed 30 + years ago and has worked great for all those years. Customer called and said the faucet had a steady drip. A lot of people might just cut the wall open and replace it because they can’t get the dome bonnet nut off. Just add a little heat boom it will loosen right up giving the opportunity to just replace the internal parts. Yep, it’s that easy, and saves my customer money!

It has been a very busy summer, actually it’s been the busiest summer I’ve had. If my memory is correct I’m approaching my 30 yrs in this trade. I can honestly say it has been a very fulfilling and rewarding career. I get countless opportunities to help people with all kinds of plumbing issues. Most people look at these pictures and see plumbing repairs and installs of all kinds. Behind some of these job photos is more. This particular repair was done because the main shut off to the house was no longer functioning properly. The owner of this house was a man of 93 yrs who is a Marine war vet. As I preformed this work he sat and watched and we had conversations that filled my cup of life once again. To hear him tell me stories about the life he has lived was priceless. This is my definition of doing great work and knowing that almost 30 yrs ago I was led into this trade that turned into what I am today! I have countless experiences like this with many customers and I want everyone to know that I greatly appreciate all of you.

Did I ever tell you about the one time I found a note for me from the previous person working on what I came to repair?

Full disclosure, this was a friend of the homeowner's. They attempted to make a repair on a water line that was a 10 out of 10 in terms of difficulty - this was going to be a very tough repair. When I was there working, the gentleman came over and asked if he could watch me. I said absolutely, and we spent the next few hours making it happen. We both probably learned a few things that day!

Customer was having some gurgling issues from the main sewer line. As always drop the camera in to see if there is an issue. Unfortunately there was one spot where the pipe came apart and roots had entered causing the issue. Located the area , excavated and made the repair while adding a dual clean out for future access.
