And that's a wrap for this shower in Wimberley. Initially clients had selected the 6x6 porcelain tile for their wall tile selection. We talked them into adding the 2x6" for a cool pattern coupled with solid surcace at floating bench, niche and top of curb. Love how it all came together and we're looking forward to seeing paint, vanity and new fixtures. #

Did you know that a Minimum of 95% Mortar coverage is required in wet areas !? (80% in dry areas)

What you see in the picture is a coverage check. The notches should be fully collapsed for a succesful tile installation

Now that the steel casings all installed we're back on this super cool project right on the colorado river to wrap up. If only I could talk them into letting me mosaic the top of the pizza oven!

There was a post about pebbles in a shower pan on one of the tile groups. It's rare to nonexistent where you can simply lay a sheet of pebbles with another sheet next to it without seeing the ugly gridded sheet lines. If not single setting I like to space the sheets apart 1-2"or so and fill in the spacez with singles to eliminate the grid lines.
