Please join us in mourning the loss of Harry Johnson, Jr. Harry, 56, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

For the past eight years, Harry has been an integral part of the Freeman family. He was more than a coworker—he was a true friend to everyone he met and a dedicated supporter of Freeman Landscape. Harry played a meaningful role in shaping not only our company, but the sense of family that defines who we are.

He was someone you could always count on—showing up, working hard and giving his full support day in and day out. More than anything, Harry genuinely cared about people, and that was something you could feel every single day.

His presence, dedication and spirit have left a lasting impact on all of us. Harry will be missed more than words can express, but his memory will always remain a part of our Freeman family.

We were happy to have help from volunteers for the sod install at Eden Village. Eden Village is a 31-unit tiny home community specially designed to provide permanent homes for chronically homeless individuals including patients of the local hospital.

We are growing! Freeman Landscape is looking for a Mechanic to join our team! This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs on our truck fleet, heavy equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair of trucks, trailers, and equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
Accurately document all work performed to each unit
Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use.
Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:

Truck mechanic experience preferred
Ability to read and write the English language.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
Ability to work in fast pace environment.
Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
