Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, Bhogapuram✨

With the new Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, Andhra Pradesh gains a new gateway to the world. Around 57,000 m² of durlum metal ceilings and wall claddings combine modern design with regional culture. The design of the POLYLAM vertical baffle ceiling draws inspiration from the traditional floor art form known as Muggulu, whilst the custom-perforated S4 metal ceiling continues this aesthetic in the arrivals area. Printed wall claddings also incorporate the ‘Tree of Life with Peacock’ motif from the local Kalamkari textile art.

Perforations: Expertise in room acoustics✨

Choosing the right perforation not only determines the appearance of a ceiling, but also influences its acoustic performance. In our video, we present a direct comparison of five of our standard perforations. However, these are just a small selection from our extensive range of perforations.

The interplay between anodised aluminium and light creates a unique atmosphere. Depending on the architectural vision, the surface can be finished – following appropriate pre-treatment of the aluminium – in a brushed, matt, satin matt, glossy, high-gloss or mirror-finish, for example.

To precisely direct natural and artificial light, we use highly reflective surfaces with a suitable proportion of directional reflection in our daylighting systems and metal ceilings. 2 Ruskin Square, London✨

The ten-storey office building at 2 Ruskin Square in Croydon, which has been awarded a BREEAM Outstanding rating, emphasises sustainability and the wellbeing of its occupants. In the light-filled foyer, the durlum single-blade QUADRA louvre, made of black coil-coated aluminium, blends harmoniously between the striking steel beams. The framing of the QUADRA panels further accentuates the architecture's clearly defined lines.

Geberit Campus in Pfullendorf: Holistic Architecture✨

The new Geberit Campus is a modern training and exhibition centre that combines learning, brand identity and architecture. For this project, durlum provided around 4,000 m² of GEO open-cell ceilings in both indoor and outdoor areas. The high-quality, black-brown ceiling creates a seamless transition between the different areas and emphasises the clear architectural language inspired by the square shape of the Geberit logo.

The compact PUNTEO-J60 recessed downlight complements the elegant TICELL-N open-cell ceiling (from 60x60mm cell size) to create an aesthetically and technically sophisticated system solution. Metal ceilings are ideal for integrating water-cooling elements to provide silent, draft-free, and hygienic climate control in any room. Thermoregulated water is circulated through the system, regulating the surface temperature of the COOLTEC metal ceilings, which then either radiate heat or chill the air in the room, resulting in a pleasant, temperature controlled environment.
