Beginning operations as a ceramic tile and marble subcontractor for residential and commercial contracting, the companies resources were quickly filled with working mostly in the commercial contracting segment. After several years of working a three state area in the commercial building market, we expanded our offerings to include the fabrication and installation of granite, marble and engineered
stone coutertops for the residential builders as well as homeowners in our home town of Wilmington N.C. This allowed the company to replace the “out of town work” with local work and also to grow the countertop business into the highest volume segment of our business. As time went by, the company was offered and accepted the opportunity to work with national “Big Box” stores as a vendor for countertops in the N.C. This work allowed Cape Fear Marble and Tile to hone it’s skills and efficiency at remodeling occupied residential kitchens. The focus became to be the best part of the customers experience in the transaction, and the gratification that our installer experienced by doing a good job for the customers made a big impression on everyone involved. It is always true that the difference between a good experience and a not so good experience for the customer all centers on the planning by the provider as well as managing the customer’s expectations.
