We put this together in about 45 minutes — not building it, but designing and refining it.

We created this cabinet wall in Home Designer, then used AI to enhance the rendering and bring out the details.

What I like about this is it helps our clients actually see what they’re getting before anything is built.

That usually means:
• Better decisions up front
• Fewer surprises during construction
• A smoother overall process

AI isn’t replacing what we do — it’s just helping us serve our clients better.

Can you build a barndominium in a coastal area?

That was the question that started this project—and the answer is yes, with the right approach.

Building near the coast comes with different requirements than building inland, especially when it comes to wind and structural performance.

In this case, the original design was intended for a metal structure, but we were able to adapt it to wood framing—maintaining the overall look while meeting coastal requirements and finding some cost savings along the way.

Every project has its own set of challenges, but with the right planning, there’s usually a path forward.

We’re wrapping up final punchlist items on two custom homes right now and getting ready to kick off a large renovation project just south of Raleigh.

This next one is especially meaningful—converting an old nursing home into a drug rehab center. It is much needed, and we’re grateful to be a part of it.

Different types of projects, but the same goal on all of them: finish strong and start the next one the right way.

Every job has a way of teaching you something—sometimes the hard way.

A couple things that have been reinforced for us lately:

• The more decisions we can make up front, the better the job goes
• When something isn’t clearly written down, it usually turns into a conversation later
• A little extra time planning can save a lot of time (and frustration) during the build

We’re continuing to get better on the front end of our projects so things run smoother all the way through.

None of this is flashy, but it makes a big difference.
