This week, we broke ground on the future Aquatics Center at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC! 🎊

This fast-paced project includes the construction of a new, two-story, 24,327-square-foot Aquatics Center, renovations to the existing 9,723-square-foot Activity Center, and a variety of exciting site improvements.

We're excited to get to work and help bring these new amenities to the Ocean Lakes community!

The Weathers Creek High School project in Troutman, NC, reached an exciting milestone last week!🎉

Topping out ceremonies are a special way to recognize the progress of a project and celebrate the people helping bring it to life. Our project team came together to share a meal, raffle off prizes, and sign the final beam before setting it in place.

We’re grateful to celebrate this milestone alongside our trade partners, Adams + Associates Architecture and Iredell-Statesville Schools, and we look forward to continuing the momentum as Weathers Creek High School takes shape! 🤩

At Monteith, we often say our business is all about people, and Chief Perry is a great reminder of what that means.⬇️

As Fire Chief, this new station isn’t just another building. It’s a place that will support his team, serve the Zebulon community, and help them do their jobs for years to come. His involvement, enthusiasm, and presence on site have made building the new Zebulon Fire & EMS Station that much more meaningful for our team.

The work we do goes far beyond construction. It’s about the people who will walk through these doors every day, the communities they serve, and the impact these spaces will have for years to come.

📍 Cape Fear Museum of History & Science | Wilmington, NC

This state-of-the-art facility brings history, science, and hands-on learning to life in a whole new way. The new museum features more than 400 artifacts, a 60-seat immersive theater and planetarium, the interactive Cape Fear Stories gallery, Science Matters, Port City Play, Curious Nature, and a 5,000-square-foot Traveling Exhibition Gallery.

This amazing project was made possible through an incredible partnership between New Hanover County, Cape Fear Commercial, LS3P, and Monteith Construction. We’re proud to have worked alongside such a talented team to bring this new space to life for our community.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this vision a reality! 👏

We often say our work goes beyond the buildings—it’s also about creating opportunities for the next generation of builders. ⬇️

We first met Gabe Schwery, student at Topsail High School, through the Connect for Success SHED Competition, where he was part of the student team paired with Monteith. This summer, that connection came full circle when Gabe joined our Wilmington team through a pre-apprenticeship opportunity.

Gabe spent time on our Wilmington Health Midtown II project working alongside Monteith team members, putting what he’s learning in the classroom into practice on an active jobsite.

We’re proud to be part of opportunities that connect students like Gabe with the construction industry and look forward to seeing where his path takes him! 🙌

After extensive coordination and planning, we’ve reached another major milestone at Wilmington International Airport’s Curbside Phase 2 project: installation of the new pedestrian tunnel!✈️

This milestone is one piece of a larger transformation underway at ILM. The full project will expand curbside capacity, create a dedicated commercial vehicle curb, add a new parking deck, and provide additional surface parking.

We’re grateful to our partners at Wilmington International Airport (ILM), RS&H, and the many trade partners whose coordination and hard work continue to bring this project to life.🙌
