Hey Fig Fam - Salce is a delicious fig that is from the province of Molise in the heart of Italy. It has a flavor profile all its own with a refreshing flavor of peaches and watermelon. I’ve grown this fig for over a decade and it has a special place in my garden. I really cont compare it to any other fig variety and have to gif a big shout out to Mario who introduced this fig to the fig community with saxonfig.

Have you tried this fig before? It’s a must have for all fig growers and gardeners!

Hey Fig Fam,

This is an amazing fig that ripened earlier than normal l this year! Has an amazing interior with a huge amount of flavor! These figs require a lot of heat and sun but do surprisingly well in humid conditions. The Col de Dame Noir fig is one for the record books as far as superior flavor and sweetness. It’s worth growing in a container in northern climates and the extra care. There’s a good reason why this fig and series of figs remain in the top 5 for best figs of all time. Have you tried a Col de Dame or Coll de Dama fig before. Can’t believe I’m saying this but “if you know, you know!” Amazing fig and always a treat. People tend to love the Adriatic versions of them but it’s a good reminder of how delicious is Col de Dame Noir!

Hey Fig Fam!

This is a fantastic berry flavored fig that is great for colder climates and people newer to gardening and figs! It is an early to mid ripening fig that can produce year after year even if it does down to the ground. Hardy Chicago / Mt. Etna type fig named Brooklyn Park JD and it’s a fantastic fig for its smaller dark figs with a bunch of flavor! What do you think?

Hey Fig Fam! I love this fig! Ponte Tresa I keep as a dwarf variety for my patio and has beautiful green skin and a deep red interior that tastes of strawberry preserves. It’s from the lakes region of Switzerland just across the border from Italy. It’s as beautiful as it is delicious and does really well in our humid, hot climate, while also being cold hardy! Have you had this fig variety before?! Let me know what you think!

Hey Fig Fam - a truly ripe fig is a marveled fruit. If you grow Figs, you know what I mean. One of the telltale signs that the figs are ripe on a Fig Tree is if there is honey or crystallized sugar coming out of the ostiole - also known as the “eye” of the fig. They can drip down from the Ostiole or it can pool up right on the inside of the ostiole (eye). How are your figs ripening for you and does this occur on your figs?! It’s a great way to keep pests out!

This Fig is Amazing! Bass’s Favorite and many also know it as Calderona de Miner. I’m always impressed with the flavor and look of this rich berry flavored fig! It’s tough to propagate as all high-end figs can be, but wow it’s delicious and beautiful. Have you had this variety? Let me know!

Hey Fig Fam,

This variety is simply amazing. Troiano Calabrese fig is a delicious fig that I rooted almost 9 years ago and it has matured and ripened dozens and dozens of figs living in a 15 gallon container. These figs taste of rich flavors of honey and melon and get huge! Sometimes taking 4 bites to eat. Fig trees are one of the best fruit trees to grow in a container and can spend their whole lives in container and planters. Do you grow figs in a container?! Does it produce lots of figs for you?!
