WHAT IS ORANGEBURG PIPE?

If your home was built between the 1900s to 1970s, there’s a chance your sewer line is made from Orangeburg pipe. Orangeburg was a common type of sewer pipe used during this time.

Orangeburg is a type of fiber pipe made from layers of wood pulp and asphalt. While it was once a popular choice, it has a limited lifespan and can deteriorate over time.

Common problems include:

•The pipe can crush and flatten into an oval shape or completely collapse.
•Blisters can form on the inside of the pipe, restricting or blocking flow.
•The pipe can delaminate, creating weak spots and compromising the overall integrity of the pipe.

A sewer camera inspection is one of the best ways to see what’s actually happening underground.

If you’re experiencing repeated backups or have an older sewer line, give us a call. We’ll help you understand what’s going on and what your options are!

Those mysterious gurgling sounds from your drains might be trying to tell you something!

Recently, these homeowners were hearing their drains gurgle, so we took a closer look—and found sneaky tree roots making their way into the drain line.

Roots can work their way into small cracks or joints in your sewer line and eventually cause slow drains, backups, and bigger problems.

Hearing gurgling or noticing slow drains? Don’t wait for a backup. Give us a call!

We recently removed a section of failed cast iron sewer pipe near the home that had reached the end of its service life.

We replaced the damaged section and installed a new sewer cleanout, giving the homeowner convenient access for future maintenance, inspections and sewer line service.

Having an accessible cleanout can make a big difference when problems arise — allowing the sewer line to be properly inspected and serviced without unnecessary digging.

If you’re dealing with recurring sewer backups, slow drains, or aging cast iron, give us a call. We can help identify the problem and recommend the right solution.

This homeowner was dealing with a complete sewer blockage caused by a failed house sewer trap. The deteriorated trap was allowing dirt and debris to enter the sewer line, eventually causing the sewer lateral to clog.

We removed the failed house sewer trap and installed a new, accessible cleanout for the homeowner. This not only resolved the immediate problem but also provides easier access to the sewer line for future maintenance and service.

If you’re experiencing slow drains, recurring sewer backups, or unexplained clogs— there may be an underlying issue with your sewer line.

Give us a call and let us find the problem and get it fixed right!

If you've noticed slow drains, frequent backups, or gurgling sounds, tree roots could be invading your sewer line. Roots naturally seek out moisture and can sneak into tiny cracks, growing larger over time and causing major blockages.

Catching the problem early can help prevent costly repairs. A professional sewer cleaning can pinpoint the issue before it becomes an emergency.

Think roots might be the culprit? Contact us today to schedule an inspection and keep your sewer and drains flowing smoothly!
