Final result on this 1960 basement transformation 🔥

From an old concrete basement to a custom Terrazzo-style Jawbreaker epoxy system. Every step mattered on this one — prep work, moisture v***r barrier, and the full process to create a floor that completely changes the feel of the space.

Progress update on this 1960 basement project 👷‍♂️

A lot of people see the finished floor and never see the steps that actually make it last. Right now we’re at one of the most important stages — installing the moisture v***r barrier (MVB).

Older concrete can allow moisture v***r to travel up through the slab. If that isn’t handled correctly, it can eventually cause issues with flooring systems down the road. Proper prep and the right system underneath matter just as much as the final topcoat.

This is the part most people never see, but it’s what separates a floor that lasts from a floor that doesn’t. More progress photos coming soon. 🔥

1960 basement transformation underway 👷‍♂️

Starting with a basement that has been through decades of use. Original concrete, years of wear, and plenty of prep work ahead before the transformation begins. The before photos never look exciting, but this is where the real work happens.
