New Schumer Bill Will Break Up Big Monopolies In Meat Packing That Lead To Higher Prices For Consumers & Hurt Farmers And Restore Real Competition To Help Farmers And Smaller Meat Producers While Lowering Prices
New Bill Will Bring Down Costs For Families At The Grocery Store
HAPPENING MONDAY AT 12:45 PM IN WALWORTH – As New Yorkers in the Rochester-Finger Lakes region face some of the fastest price growth for groceries in the country, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer will stand with Rochester-Finger Lakes families at the Tops market in Walworth to announce his Family Grocery and Farmer Relief Act. The Senator’s new landmark legislation would break up the big meat monopolies, restore competition, boost small producers, and lower grocery costs for families.
Schumer will be joined by local residents struggling to manage the impact of high grocery prices on their family budgets, grocery store workers, and local officials.

LOCATION: In the parking lot of the Tops Market grocery store at 2140 Walworth Penfield Rd, Walworth, NY 14568, in the back northeast corner of the parking lot near the gas station.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR PROGRAM AT NEWARK/ARCADIA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

NEWARK, Jun 9 26 -- Join us for a very special program at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11 as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with a program on the Revolutionary War.
Chris Blomgren, of Palmyra, will present "The Muster." He will talk about, in uniform, what it was like to muster into the Revolutionary War.
Chris will have props and equipment on hand. Thi is an all-ages program, so please come with your family. You won't want to miss this interactive presentation.
Chris is an educator, veteran, former history teacher and now proprietor of Historic Pursuits - Putting Learning Into Action, Action Into Learning.
