Just in case you want to "take a walk" through! See the added kitchenette, laundry area, full bath, and living space. Then enter the bedroom addition through the soft-close pocket door. Remote controlled ceiling fan and light & mini-split. Last the glass door including integrated blind which leads to the deck! Enjoy!!!

Some projects are a labor of love. This beautiful home belongs to some very dear friends of ours who were looking to add a mother-in-law suite & asked JBH to participate in their vision. Converting one room, to include, a kitchenette, full bath, laundry, and living space & a ground up addition which includes, a bedroom with a custom closet and exterior access to a lovely deck. New HVAC, custom lighting, & beautiful tile work within a glass shower enclosure round out this add-on. At Jewel Box Homes we were able to design was exactly what the clients wanted for their beloved mother. We are pleased and proud to share our completed project with you.

Our clients were looking to add square footage to their existing home for an in-law suite. Building off the existing office we included; a kitchenette, full bath, separate laundry, living space & bedroom with full closet, and updated HVAC. Many conveniences were taken into consideration for the future live-in family member. This was a joy to create and provide every desire these clients wanted for thier loved one.

We are thrilled to add this to our portfolio.

While still living in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles (2000), my wife and I flipped this adorable cottage near the Radford CBS Studios (Seinfeld, Mary Tyler Moore, Gilligans Island, Will & Grace, That 70s Show, NY and Central Park backlots and much more) in the coveted Colfax district. At the time, we set the highest comp $428,000, to our neighborhood bewilderment. This house was recently sold for 1.6 million...nearly four times more than our original "high" sales price! The house remains basically untouched from the way we redesigned it, kitchens, baths, millwork - with the exception, they added a funny kitchen island and perhaps paint.

This was a tiny house with only one bathroom, shared by two bedrooms. Sophia came up with the idea to turn a large hall closet into a second bathroom, and redesigned the floor plan so that the existing bathroom would become a primary bathroom, creating a primary suite! This small change made an incredible difference in the life of this California cottage.
