We recently worked on this River Birch tree, selectively thinning the canopy to open it up and improve the tree’s overall structure.

The canopy had become fairly dense, so we carefully removed select branches throughout the tree to reduce congestion and allow more light and air to move through the canopy.

We focused on making thoughtful cuts while maintaining the natural shape and character of the River Birch.

We selectively reduced the longer branches while maintaining the tree’s natural weeping form and removed dead branches throughout the canopy.

This Japanese maple in Lake Ann, Michigan was in need of some size reduction at the client’s request. The goal was to remove deadwood and reduce the overall size of the tree, with particular attention to branches growing toward the house.

We used natural contour pruning to reduce the canopy while maintaining the tree’s natural shape and character. Selective branch removal also improved clearance from the home and opened up the structure of the tree.
