WDM staff traded the office for an evening of adventure at Tulsa Zoo’s Waltz into the Wilds! 🦁🌿

After collaborating with Tulsa Zoo on the 315,810-square-foot African Wilds project since 2019, it was pretty special to see the progress in person—and even better to bring our significant others along for the adventure!

From lions and giraffes to painted dogs, pygmy hippos and a free-flight aviary, African Wilds is shaping up to be quite the journey. We can’t wait to see it come to life! 🐾

We took a trip to the quarry and came back with a few fun facts. 🪨 Swipe through to see what our team learned during our visit to U.S. Stone Industries limestone quarry.

Rock chalk office tour!💙❤️

On Wednesday, we had the privilege of hosting the KU Architecture 508 Studio at our office. It was a pleasure, as always, to see professor and Architect, Amy Van de Riet, and her students. It was exciting to give the Studio a look at what the profession looks like beyond the classroom. We look forward to participating in the project reviews and seeing the student’s progress this semester.

Thanks for hanging out with us, Jayhawks! We loved having you here!

Congratulations to the Wichita Orpheum Theatre for 104 years of sharing stories, art and community.

There’s something special about being part of a place that has meant so much to so many people for generations.

We’re incredibly grateful to have played a small part in the story of this Wichita landmark and are excited to see the memories that will continue to be made here for years to come.

Cheers to 104 years of history, and to the stories still waiting to be told.

Wishing our summer intern, Ryan Laurie, all the best as he returns to Kansas State University. "Nikki and Jenna had a significant impact on my internship experience by consistently taking the time to answer my questions, teach me new skills, invite me to opportunities to learn, and create an environment where I felt supported and encouraged to grow. As I return to school and continue toward my career, I will carry with me a stronger understanding of how architecture is practiced in the real world, how buildings come together through a collaborative process, and the importance of staying open-minded, asking questions, and finding ways to contribute wherever I can."
