🏠 2026 Moderate Income Housing (MIH) Application Materials Are Now Available!

Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) has released application materials for the 2026 Moderate Income Housing (MIH) Program.

For communities considering an MIH project, SCKEDD can help! Our team provides MIH grant writing and grant administration services, helping communities navigate the application process and, if awarded, manage the project through implementation.

Application Deadline: Friday, October 23, 2026 at 12:00 PM

MIH funding can be an important tool for Kansas communities working to expand housing opportunities and address local workforce and housing needs.

Our Weatherization team can help eligible households improve energy efficiency and comfort through services such as insulation, air sealing, heating and cooling improvements, and more. 🌡️🔧

A few simple ways to stay comfortable this month:

🪟 Keep blinds and curtains closed during the hottest part of the day
❄️ Make sure your air conditioner is clean and working properly

📢 Public Comment Now Open: 2026 SCKEDD CEDS
The South Central Kansas Economic Development District (SCKEDD) has completed our 2026 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), and we want to hear from you!
The CEDS serves as a regional roadmap for economic growth, investment, and resilience across South Central Kansas. It identifies regional priorities and strategies related to housing and infrastructure, small business and access to capital, workforce and childcare, manufacturing and economic diversification, and regional collaboration.
The 2026 SCKEDD CEDS is now available on our website for public review and comment. We encourage residents, businesses, local governments, economic development organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders throughout the region to review the plan and share their feedback.
