Barkley Solar recently completed a commercial solar installation for Aircraft Parts Distribution in Augusta, Kansas — a locally owned company serving the business aviation industry.

Aircraft Parts Distribution brings years of aviation experience to Augusta, supplying and sourcing parts for business aircraft and helping customers across the industry keep their aircraft moving.

Now, they’ve made another investment in the future — putting their own roof to work producing energy.

Projects like this are about more than adding solar panels. They’re about helping Kansas businesses lower operating costs, gain more control over rising energy expenses, and turn unused roof space into a long-term business asset.

We’re proud to see another Kansas company investing in its facility, its future, and the community it calls home.

Two Wichita names. Generations of history. And a pretty special connection. ☀️

Chilton Billiards was founded in 1946 by Stan Chilton after returning home from serving in World War II.

The Barkley name has been part of Wichita business for more than 40 years, through Barkley & Son Trucking, Barkley’s Corner, Barkley Construction and now Barkley Solar. Our family’s story also carries a connection to that generation — the founder’s father served in World War II and landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.

That history made this project mean a little more to us.

Barkley Solar recently completed a commercial solar installation for Chilton Billiards & Spas, turning their roof into a long-term energy-producing asset.

Two longtime Wichita families, both still investing in the community and looking toward what comes next.
