This is the first "powered" vacuum cleaner. Patented in 1901, it was too heavy for indoor use, so it was mounted on a horse-drawn cart and parked outside buildings, with long hoses fed through windows to clean the carpets.

Why is this important? Carpet manufacturers require your carpet to be professionally cleaned every 12-18 months and own a CRI "approved" vacuum. We sell Soniclean vacuums that are powerful, lightweight and "approved".
