One of the biggest advantages of a faux-finished grasscloth over wallpaper is the level of customization. Colors can be completely tailored to the space, there are no seams or repeating patterns, and the finish feels more artistic and organic overall. It adds such a warm, timeless texture to a room. Fun fact, grasscloth was first popular in the 60s and 70s. My grandma’s house still has it throughout her basement; however, I updated it with a toning glaze, giving it a fresh, modern feel while keeping the character that made it special in the first place!

Excited to share this beautiful new custom ceiling, a recently completed sixth project for a home we completed five projects in last year! Each finish throughout the home was thoughtfully designed to coordinate and flow together, with this ceiling serving as the focal point in the main living space.

Ceilings require a different level of consideration, as not every finish translates the same way overhead. This design was built through four layers and a combination of plasters, some smooth, some matte, and others with a subtle sheen, creating depth, texture, and movement. A soft, shimmery clear coat brings everything together, adding a refined finish that enhances the overall effect.

It’s always a privilege to return to a client’s home, and even more meaningful to be trusted across multiple spaces and projects. I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue creating in a home with such a strong sense of style and vision!

The transformation of this table finish needs its own SUPER BOWL add!

It received a big facelift to match the beautiful new chairs. After a thorough cleaning and sanding the first layer was added to change the tone of the finish, followed by several glazing layers to build depth and get the match just right. Finally, 2 clear coats to enhance and protect the new finish - and it’s like she has a new table!
