Wow! It’s been THREE years since we’ve posted some of our work on social media! We thought we would do a little intro for new friends, and catch up our old friends. We are Adam and Abbe Doll. We have 3 incredible kids, and love to create beautiful atmospheres where people feel welcome, inspired, and themselves. Adam is an incredible carpenter- and can do just about any construction project. Abbe is a color/ paint pro. She loves to help others with paint choices that give them a fresh look without needing to change the whole room. Abbe also has a ministry, “painted prayers” where she paints for clients and incorporates prophetic words and scriptures tucked in the painting. She also hosts workshops where creating becomes worship to God. We thought it would be time to update these pages on some of the great projects we have done for clients, on mission projects, and for ourselves!

Beautiful kitchen remodel! Adam reconfigured the kitchen island, adding board and battan, utilizing the original cabinets. He also installed new backsplash and hardware after rehanging the cabinetry. Abbe helped with color consultation: landing on the rich and warm blue/green island color.

A peek into this phenomenal pine planked home addition. This space will provide the family with ample space to entertain, porch swing, and enjoy the beautiful farm they live on. This is just one of many phases Adam has constructed on this job. Stay tuned for more!

Late fall of 2022- April 2024 our family renovated an incredible property in Winston Salem, converting it into a beautiful retreat center. This was quite an adventure for our family as we moved across the county on faith, never seeing the property until we pulled up in the u-haul and got to work. This project was 💯 offered as a mission, donating our time and raising financial support for our living expenses. 6000 sq ft house, trails, meeting buildings and more were part of this mission. What transformation! We loved working as a family. We could not have done it without our kids and mission teams who came to lend a hand. Jesus is worthy!

Our good friend Levi left his construction business in KS for a week to come out and help us serve a very deserving family! The guys repaired the soffit and guttering, and helped Abbe with a screened in porch refresh. This family serves underserved and reached youth across the city, and often opening their home for respite care. We loved creating a space where they can come for rest, and have moments of connection with the each other and the Lord. Thank you Levi for serving with us!

Come check out what we’ve been cookin up! We are excited to share some of the improvements we’ve been making in our home with you all. When we walked into this home 10 months ago, the kitchen and hearth room was what immediately sold us. We saw all of our friends, the kids friends, and family gathering here. It took some creative vision to see past the massive amounts of golden oak and pastel paint. Abbe has been a blue lover her entire life, so we decided to create an earthy palette where the blue plate and crock collection can pop. Neutral doesn’t always have to be white! We love the sage and putty color, with the brushed brass handles. We kept the original brass hinges and now it all works. Peel and stick tiles gave the backsplash some fun until we can replace it. Abbe painted the wood trim around the white laminate to create a more unified countertop. Everything in this kitchen was budget friendly! We love spending time in here. What do you think?

Hey guys! It’s been too long! We are back from a crazy year, and so much has happened in the world of Doll Design since we last posted. We are so excited to get back to sharing our work and some projects with you. Our biggest project lately has been updating our home we purchased this Feb. The backyard needed some major help. As you probably know, lumber prices are crazy right now so we decided some paint, repurposed pavers, gravel, and lights could spruce this up for now. Always amazed at what paint can do! What do you think of the gray stripe deck?
