At Kidron Bethel Village, our team designed an addition dedicated to occupational and physical therapy services which helped create an environment that supports rehabilitation and everyday well-being for residents. The space was designed to promote comfort, accessibility, and care for both residents and staff.

Hands-on learning is on display at Fort Hays Tech North Central’s Hansen Construction Career Center that was completed in February 2026. This 29,820 sqft facility (plus mezzanine) is designed to strengthen construction and trades education in Western Kansas while helping address the region’s workforce shortage. Featuring carpentry, electrical, and HVAC/plumbing labs along with student-built home sites, the center gives learners real-world experience while creating visible impact for the surrounding community.

We worked with several excellent industry partners on this project: McCownGordon Construction, Driggs Design Group, PA, Basis Consulting Engineers, and MKEC Engineering, Inc.

Happy Earth Day! Renovations and adaptive reuse play a powerful role in reducing carbon emissions which makes them especially relevant on Earth Day. Instead of demolishing existing buildings and constructing new ones - a process that generates significant greenhouse gases through material production, transportation, and construction - adaptive reuse works to preserve as much of a structure’s original framework as possible.

At Alloy, we take immense pride that our home, The Icehouse, is a historically important adaptive reuse structure. Originally housing city's ice supply, the restored historic warehouse is now the thriving home to many Wichita businesses. By extending the life cycle of existing structures, like The Icehouse, communities conserve resources, reduce waste, and move closer to a more sustainable, low-carbon future.
