This week marks Healthcare Security & Safety Week, an opportunity to recognize the role thoughtful planning and design play in creating safer healthcare environments.

Creating safer spaces requires more than responding to security concerns. It means identifying potential vulnerabilities and considering how the built environment can support safety from the earliest stages of planning and design.

Through our Security Risk Assessment & Design initiative, HFG applies Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles to evaluate how visibility, access, circulation, and other environmental factors can influence safety. By collaborating with healthcare organizations and their security teams, we translate these considerations into practical design strategies that support patients, families, and care teams.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of early detection, research, and care.

Last month, Salina Family Healthcare Center celebrated a major milestone for their new facility with a topping out ceremony!

The last beam has been placed on this 76,000 SF project, which will house medical, behavioral health, dental, eye care, and pharmacy services under one roof. It’s exciting to see the vision come together with every step of the construction process.

We’re looking forward to all that’s still to come for this project!

Just recently we celebrated with Logan County Health Services on the progress of their new facility with a Beam Signing Ceremony!

With every step made toward completing the 52,000 SF replacement hospital, we feel greater excitement for what’s next. Multiple departments, support spaces, and an attached rural clinic will allow this facility to offer improved healthcare support for the Logan County community.

Thank you for having us, we can’t wait to see this project come to life!

We're proud to highlight another milestone in our long-standing partnership with Henderson Health Care in Henderson, Nebraska!

Construction recently wrapped up on a new 10,250 SF rural clinic addition featuring 12 exam rooms, 2 procedure suites, and on-site lab and diagnostic services. Built with input from both patients and providers, this addition expands access to primary care, specialist services, and preventative care for the community.

Through our partnership with Henderson Health Care, we've contributed to many renovations and additions; including a 40-bed long-term care facility with a unique two-corridor layout, each with their own dining rooms, living rooms, and common spaces designed to support residents' comfort and connection.

We're grateful for this partnership and proud of everything we've built together!
