It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve posted anything, but we’ve been staying busy, and I have a few projects I’ve been wanting to share with you guys.

This one is definitely one for the books and a project I’m very proud of. Seeing the finished result was a reminder of why I started doing this in the first place — taking someone’s vision and helping turn it into something real.

One of the sayings I try to stand behind with Mares Masonry LLC is:

“Dream it. Believe it. Build it.”

Because to me, we’re more than just a masonry company. We’re here to help bring ideas to life and help homeowners create something they can be proud to call home.

For this project, we had the opportunity to completely transform the exterior. We demoed and rebuilt the masonry on the outside of the home with brick, along with building a new brick mailbox, brick pillar, and brick porch area. It was a lot of work, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.

I also got the opportunity to work alongside my buddy Juan with M&A Concrete, who handled the flatwork on this project. If anyone is looking for quality concrete flatwork, patios, driveways, sidewalks, steps, or stamped concrete, I highly recommend reaching out to him. It’s always good when different trades can come together and give the homeowner a complete transformation.

Thank you to our clients for trusting us with their home and allowing us to be part of making their vision become a reality.

You dream it. You believe in it. We build it. 🧱💪

A couple of months ago, we had the opportunity to complete this beautiful brick-step transformation. Even though I shared it before, this is still one of those projects I’m extremely proud of.

The clients did not like the original rise because the steps were too high and uncomfortable to use. They also wanted a completely new look. Instead of having the bottom step wrap all the way around the porch, they wanted it positioned only on the side where they normally step up and down.

We redesigned and rebuilt the steps to give them a more comfortable rise, better access, and a cleaner, more modern appearance. Once everything was completed and thoroughly washed, the brickwork came back to life and the finished result looked beautiful.

The best part was seeing our clients’ reaction when they saw everything finished. They were amazed and extremely happy with the transformation. Projects like this remind me why I take so much pride in my work.

Thank you to our clients for trusting Mares Masonry LLC with their home!

Another satisfied customer! 📬🧱

This brick mailbox was completely destroyed after a vehicle first struck the neighbor’s truck and then crashed into the mailbox, knocking it completely off its foundation.

After looking at several masonry contractors on Google, the homeowners chose Mares Masonry LLC because they had confidence in our work—and we’re grateful they trusted us with the project.

We rebuilt the mailbox from the ground up, starting with a new reinforced footing and a solid CMU (cinder block) core. The structure was reinforced with steel reinforcement and masonry wall ties that securely tied the brick veneer to the block core, creating a mailbox that’s built to last—not just to look good.

The finished product turned out great, and most importantly, the homeowners were extremely happy with the results. Thank you again for trusting Mares Masonry LLC with your project!

If your brick mailbox has been damaged, or you’re looking for quality brick, block, or stone masonry work, we’d be happy to help.
